Los Trabajadores Industriales del Mundo (IWW) son un sindicato sin parangón. Fundado en 1905 en Chicago, ganó rápidamente afiliados en todo el mundo gracias a su visión revolucionaria e internacionalista. Utilizando poderosos métodos de organización, como la acción directa y la democracia directa, puso el poder en manos de los trabajadores. Esta filosofía se conoce como «sindicalismo industrial revolucionario» y a sus miembros se les llama, cariñosamente, «Wobblies».
